Study In Canada

Canada is a prime destination for students who wish to obtain a higher level of education. In order to study in Canada as an International student, it is first mandated to obtain a Canadian study permit.

The study permit grants authorization to a foreign national to be able to study in Canada by enrolling in a Designated Learning Institution (DLI). To obtain a study permit several eligibility requirements are required to meet while submitting a study permit application and also throughout time while studying in Canada. We can provide you consultations regarding options available to you once you complete your study or if you are having some problems with the current study program.

Eligibility Requirements

There are several eligibility requirements that need to meet before applying for a study permit. These includes:

  • Acceptance Letter: You must have a letter of acceptance from a DLI in order to submit your application to IRCC.
  • Financial Proof: You must ensure that you have sufficient funds to support your tuition and your stay in Canada.
  • Supporting documents: There are several other supporting documents required as well in order for your application to be considered by IRCC such as your purpose of visit, your ties to your home country, how your study in Canada will benefit you in your home country, etc.
  • Admissibility: You must be admitted to Canada in order to obtain a study permit.
  • Medical Exam: You must undergo an Immigration medical exam in order to obtain a Canadian study permit.

Note: A student permit is not a student visa. A student permit is always granted at the Port of entry whereas a student visa is a travel document that is required by an individual to travel to Canada depending on the country of citizenship.
